Anime Ball Battles How to Play: Collect, Choose and Battle

Last updated 2026-10-18Unofficial player article

Quick answer

  • Roll for balls and use unlocked choices against other players.
  • HP and DMG appear on ball selection cards; special attacks add another comparison.
  • Battles provide coins and Gems, while collection gives you different choices.

Collecting creates your choices

The starting idea in Anime Ball Battles is simple: summon balls, find favorites and put them into 1v1 battles. Collecting and competing serve different purposes. A summon changes the options you may have available; selecting a ball decides which option you bring into the next matchup. More collecting is not automatically a better decision than learning something you already own.

The choice screen uses the instruction to pick an unlocked ball. Keep that distinction in mind when looking at a dramatic ball in a video: seeing its animation does not mean it is already in your own collection.

Compare attributes and attack identity

Ball cards show HP and DMG. Read those as health and damage attributes, then consider the ball's special attack separately. The official preview shows very different presentations, including One Punch Ball's Serious Punch, Ice Age Ball's Freeze label and Wire Blade Ball's Spinning Slash.

A rarity label answers a collection question; an attribute or special attack helps answer a battle question. Do not collapse those into one promise that the rarer-looking card must be the best choice every time. The ball stats guide explains the two visible attribute labels before you make a comparison.

Turn the result into a next goal

Use a favorite in a 1v1 and follow both balls through the exchange. Decide whether your next step should improve your understanding or broaden your available choices. Battle earnings can support continued play, but a loss is not a requirement to buy Robux or replace the entire collection.

The beginner guide turns this loop into a first-session plan. Once the basics are familiar, divide your sessions between learning a ball and saving for a specific collection target. That keeps summoning, selecting and battling connected to a purpose rather than three separate habits.
